Yes the shed is now complete and ready for Certification.

The downpipes were connected to my tank yesterday as the rain began. I suppose you have had a report from John regarding my marathon effort on the jack hammer and shovel. I was going to leave the final section until later but with the impending rain I thought I should make the connection so as not to waste any rain we might get tomorrow. I have just finished backfilling the stormwater trenches and now await the rain.

The scissor lift was collected a couple of hours ago.

Thanks for your efforts in meeting my specific needs and adjusting your standard designs. All your subbies performed well and were courteous and well organised. In particular John the Erector was marvellous the way he adjusted the frame to match the roof slope, height and the out of verticality of my existing shed.

My sincere thanks to all of your team. It is gratifying to have this job completed without any hassles.

Just a quick note to thank you and your contractors very much for all the assistance, professionalism and the fantastic job of erecting our shed in a very timely and cost competitive manner.

Right from the very start, your team managed every question, concern and plan changes without any problems AND more importantly, you delivered on everything as you said.
Prior to the slab being prepared and poured, both Leon and Nathan conducted a site inspection and identified possible issues and provided both time saving and cost effective suggestions.

When it came time to pour the slab, Nathan and his team boxed up and had the slab poured better than expected.

Jason and James the two guys who erected the shed also did a fantastic job, even down to offering to come back if we weren’t happy.

These two guys worked like troopers,even by car headlights, drawing the admiration of other tradespeople onsite, just to get the job completed on time.

It’s the small things that can make or break a job and your team went above and beyond to ensure all the small things were right.

You have a great team who work well together, we cannot speak highly enough of your entire team and have no hesitation in recommending you to prospective clients.

After considerable thought of what I wanted in a shed, I decided to contact Southern Cross Sheds in person.

It was there I met Bruce who I found to be both professional and personable. Together we discussed cost, available designs, colours, extra inclusions, shed position and orientation on the block, rainwater tanks and various stages of the build from initial deposit and council approval, the final lock up.

A visit from Leon confirmed our set out on the block would be achievable and within 1-1/2 weeks with deposit and council fees paid we were underway.

Bruce assured me he would communicate regularly with myself and his sub-contractors throughout the whole process; and he did!!!

As a result, it was a seamless exercise and professionally run from start to finish. Jason, one of the shed installers, provided us with some welcome advise during installation and his experience showed in the end product.

I have got exactly what I wanted and am delighted with my new shed.

A big thank you to all the team at Southern Cross Sheds for a job well done!

Dear Leon,
Karen and I would like to extend a big thank you to the Southern Cross staff, and especially to you, for your technical assistance, professional, “can do” attitude and for the discounted price you offered for the custom, 18-metre shed Bethezer recently purchased. Without your assistance and the helpfulness of Cameron at Fielders, we may not have gotten all of the materials to the building site and we may not have been able to put the building up within our tight time-frames. And that would have meant a project setback with numerous unpalatable consequences. But thankfully, as it turned out, we came in “on time and in budget”. Just! on-time-and-in-budget
As you can see from the photos below, the project team was able to get the steel building up, including doors, windows (oops, we didn’t quite get all the windows fitted this trip, but that’s not a major issue), gutters and down pipes. And the building has become a set of classrooms and is in use by the Kapalpal Christadelphian Primary School in the middle of the island of Tanna, Vanuatu, which itself, is in the middle of the deep blue South Pacific.sheds-project-team
Sometimes we feel that an aid project of this kind – putting up a building in a remote part of the world, with no electricity, no running water, no nearby road and with lots of challenges getting the materials to the island itself, let alone to the site – is a little like going against the odds. So our hedge is the assistance we get from others like you and your Southern Cross staff.

So a hearty thank you for all your help.

I am very happy with the shed, I got a lot better carport than what I expected, absolutely brilliant. Also can I fill in the holes where Jason had to dig for posts or does the certifier need to see depth of concrete. Thanks again so very much, was well worth the wait. Needless to say I am very happy with the final product and I am already moving in with all my workshop gear. Thanks for the time you took throughout the individual design process, and the efficient way in which you moved the job forward.

I should also say that the build went well from my point of view, and I was very pleased with both the concrete sub-contractors and the shed builders. Inevitably with a job like this, there are a few minor dramas along the way, but I was more than satisfied with the speedy and courteous way that you dealt with them.
